Welcome

T
he mission of Musa House is to relieve and to advance in life Orphaned Children affected by HIV and AIDS, through provision of Housing, Healthcare and Educational Support as well as provision of mentoring in development life skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them participate in society and lead a better life.

Moses Okello founded Musa House while in the UK and officially the Charity began work in early 2007 with very limited resources. Then Moses, was pursuing a course in Social Entrepreneurship, and the coordinator, Elizabeth Wangeci was based in Dandora (Kenya) with previous experience and training as a social worker, Elizabeth identified 3 children, Don (9yrs), Henry (10yrs) and Esther (6yrs), all from different backgrounds, but with a similar story. Apart from being orphans, owing to HIV and AIDS impact on their respective families, the children were neglected and had no one to care and provide for them.

The Charity rented a 2 bed-roomed house and from there, Elizabeth has since lived with the 3 children. Owing to the full time attention parenting demands especially for young impressionable children, Elizabeth fondly known as Liz was left with little and now has to raise both her two (2) sons with three (3) orphans under one roof. Over time, the children have been able to adopt well living together and developing the right attitudes to make a difference in life. This, we consider a milestone achievement given our humble beginning and minimal operating costs.

Our aim as a charity is to reach out to as many children as possible, who find themselves in similar helpless situations and change their lives for the better, ensuring they have a chance at life opportunities

We run on a very tight budget where the funds come from friends and well wishers and go towards the payment of the house rent, school fees and covering the daily running costs that are associated with the orphans' upkeep and well being.

As a registered charity in the U.K, we are obligated to give returns each year to Charity Commission, U.K, I'm proud to say that with the assistance of our certified accountant, Prime Asset Financial Management, our financial records are up to date and available for perusal on request.

Amazing Story

Granny RosaGranny breast feeds Grand Daughter

This is an amazing story of baby Jacqueline Awuor; her mum passed away when she was only 9 days old, her granny took her and being of such a tender age, all the food she knew was milk and so Granny Rosa started breastfeeding her. Amazingly, at her age (65) she produced milk which baby jacqueline has been suckling on for 3 years now.
